Confusion with Needlecast

Winter Burn β€” Remediation

  • Wait: Do not prune until spring new growth confirms extent of dead tissue. Scratch bark to check for green cambium.
  • Prune: Remove confirmed dead/brown tissue in mid-spring after new foliage emerges; do not shear β€” removes new buds
